Nokia Introduces the iPad Tablet to Compete
LONDON - Some time ago Nokia CEO Stephen Elop said that his company intending to make Windows-based tablet 8. The presence of these tablets to undermine the dominance of the iPad on the market.
Nokia as one of the leading smartphone vendors are now trying to glance at the potential in the tablet market. And recently Nokia has just released two Windows Phone handsets, namely Lumia 710 (WP 7) and Lumia 800 (WP 7.5 or Mango).
According to interviews conducted by Business Week, Elop said the company was looking at the tablet market and is considering how to overcome the dominance of the iPad.
"This is an opportunity to bring a new tablet," Elop said, as quoted by Tech Radar, Friday (04/11/2011).
"We saw an opportunity. No doubt, this will change the dynamics that previously existed in the tablet market," he continued.
Nokia is no stranger to the tablet. The company had brought a smartphone that functions like internet tablets when the year 2007 by presenting the Nokia N810 and N800.
In May it was reported that Microsoft plans to make Windows-based tablet 8. Earlier in February, Nokia indicated it would produce tablets, but it was not known what operating system will be used.
